Destination Judo is a childrens’ judo school.
The company was established by Marc Preston, Scotland’s most successful male judo player of his generation. Marc was a medallist at the world cup and commonwealth games, one of a handful of Scots ever to win the British Open and the possesor of many other judo related achievements. Marc was part of the British Olympic coaching staff for 1996 and has now gone on to establish his own judo school.
He is currently a Director of JudoScotland and is an accredited coach tutor on the newly established UKCC.
Marc built up the business to the situation today where Destination Judo is one of Britain’s largest and fastest growing Junior Judo schools with standalone Destination Judo clubs in Central Scotland, and a wide range of clubs in private and state schools, community centres and health clubs.
The introduction of the Scottish Executive’s Active Schools Programme has given a real impetus to the sport of judo. We are working closely with the the Active Schools teams to promote judo in schools in and around Central Scotland. |
