The Destination Judo Team

As well as being experts in the sport of judo, all Destination staff have experience of teaching children, are qualified in first aid, have been disclosured and are affiliated to JudoScotland (the sport’s national federation). There follows a brief pen portrait of each of our coaches (NB: full CVs can be provided on request).

Marc Preston (5th Dan)
Marc was a full time judo competitor whose career ended prematurely through injury.  Marc was twice World Cup medallist and Commonwealth Games silver medallist.  He was one of the very few Scotsmen to win the British Open.  He has been teaching judo for the last 16 years and is still as excited today as he was back then.
